Day Tours

Day Tour of Colombo

Pickup from your hotel and visit Pettah Fort, Gangaramaya temple, Old Parliament building, Galle Face Green before lunch.

After lunch visit the BMICH, Town Hall, Independence Square and in the evening you can do some shopping before we drop you at your hotel.

Day Tour of Pinnawala

Pick up from Colombo and drive to Pinnawala. Pinnawala Elephant orphanage was set up by the government to take care of baby elephants lost or abandoned in the wild.

Witness the feeding of the baby elephants. Thereafter observe them as they take their daily bath in the river nearby.

Day Tour of Kandy

Pick up from Colombo and drive to Kandy.Then route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphange to feed the elephants and watch them in river and then leave for Kandy to visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

You can see the lovely views over the lake and city, peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden and other interesting places. In the evening come back to Colombo and drop you in your hotel.

Day Tour of Sigiriya and Dambulla

Pickup from Colombo and drive to Dambulla. Visit the Dambulla cave temples. After lunch go for village safari in Sigiriya and after sun goes down in the evening climb Sigiriya rock fortress.

Day Tour of Galle

Pickup from Colombo and drive to Galle. Visit the Galle Dutch Fort, Galle city, turtle hatchery, Madu river boat ride, and other interesting place. In the evening come back to Colombo and drop you in your hotel

Day / Night Tours

3 Nights / 4 days

Day 01 – Airport / Pinnawala / Sigiriya

Pick up from Colombo International Airport, and drive to Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage and then leave for Sigiriya. Evening Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress. It is home to the 5th century ‘Fortress in the Sky’ which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the Island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. Within its triple-moated defense, the huge rock rises to a sheer height of almost 500 feet. On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens complete with swimming pool. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Day 02 – Sigiriya / Dambulla / Kandy

After breakfast leave for Kandy. On the way visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. The first three caves are better, older and larger than the other two. Some caves date back to the 1st century BC. All the five cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues. Statues of gods and kings are also found here. Proceed to Kandy and evening visit Kandyan Dance cultural show and fire walking. After visit to Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic – ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha’s Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka. Kandy is the hill capital. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 03 – Kandy / Mt.Lavinia

After breakfast leave for Mt.Lavinia. On the way visit tea factory. And other interesting places. Overnight in Mt.Lavinia / Colombo.

 

Day 04 – Mt. Lavinia / Airport

Take a Colombo City Tour. Drop off at Colombo International Airport.

Day 1 – Arrival/Air Port/Colombo

Arrival to Colombo airport and transfer to Colombo Kingsbury Hotel for Overnight stay. ( If possible, will do a Colombo city tour depends on the arrival time to Colombo )

 

Day 2 – Colombo/Dambulla

Day 3 – Dambulla / Polonnaruwa

After Breakfast visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress. It is home to the 5th century ‘Fortress in the Sky’ which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the Island.

On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens complete with swimming pool. After Lunch visit polonnaruwa ruins and ancient temples. Polonnaruwa was the medieval capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th century AD. Great revival was achieved in the country, politically, economically and socially during the periods of kings Vijayabahu 1, Parakramabahu 1 and Nissankamalla. The monuments here are better preserved than at Anuradhapura – the previous capital. Parakrama statue, royal palaces, audience halls, Vata-da-ge, Gal Vihara are some of the interesting monuments here. Overnight stay in Hritance Kandalama. ( When you are in Sigiriya – Optional : You can do An Elephant ride or Village tour, Aurvedic massage. If you like we will give you this free of charge )

Day 4 – Dambulla / Kandy

The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Overnight stay in Kandy Earl’s Regency Hotel.

Day 5 – Kandy / Nuwara Eliya

After Breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya. On the way visit Peradeniya botanical garden. After can see Water falls, Tea plantation and can visit a Tea factory. N’Eliya is the ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island. Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya, Araliya Green Hills.

 

Day 6 – Nuwara Eliya / Yala

After breakfast leave for Yala. On the way visit Ella view, Rawana Water fall. Afternoon visit Yala National Park by Jeep. Yala National Park is famous for big herds of elephants, leopards, spotted deer, sambar, crocodiles, mongoose, wild boars, wild buffaloes and many other animals. More than 130 bird species have been recorded which include the resident birds and winter visitors. Overnight stay in Jetwing Yala.

Day 7 – Yala / Galle / Mt. Lavinia

After breakfast leave for Galle. Galle Fort was the most important seaport way back in history, where the sea faring merchants arrived to trade and barter. This is also where the Portuguese first set foot to Sri Lankan soil in the year 1505. The fort built by Portuguese was destroyed by the Dutch and the present fort which stands today was constructed by the Dutch in 1663 and has been declared a world heritage. After on the way visit Moon stone minds, Turtle Hatchery to see several species of turtles and other interesting places. Overnight stay in Mt.Lavinia Hotel.

Day 8 – Mt. Lavinia / Airport

Leave for airport for departure flight.
